The Research and Regulatory Affairs Support Unit (RRASU) is a service unit of the Directorate of Academic Affairs and Innovation (DAAI) which supports the Research Ethics Board (REB), the person formally mandated to authorize research (Personne Mandatée), and other regulatory bodies of the CIUSSS de l'Ouest-de-l'Île-de-Montréal. RRASU also supports research centers, researchers, and clinical departments in launching and participating in research activities. It oversees the development and implementation of a research regulatory framework based on ministerial reference frameworks, ensures its application on behalf of the CIUSSS, and provides the necessary administrative support to regulatory bodies in fulfilling their mandate.
The RRASU website compiles the information that researchers and their teams need to know to comply with the regulatory framework. This site centralizes all of the rules to be aware of, procedures to follow, and documents to be consulted and used. The site is regularly updated, and changes are communicated through the RRASU newsletter.
