The Directorate of Academic Affairs and Innovation (DAAI) is a service division of the the Montreal West Island integrated university health and social services centres (CIUSSS de l'Ouest-de-l'Île-de-Montréal or CIUSSS-ODIM), whose mandate is to strengthen the institution's academic mission and develop a learning environment and culture of innovation.. It endeavors to remain a center of excellence in the training the next generation of clinicians within Santé Québec, to maintain a strategic position within the Quebec, the Canadian, and the international university networks, and to become one of the most dynamic institutions in terms of innovation and transformation.

   Telehealth


   Support the dissemination, adoption, use, or application of recent knowledge derived from research, best practices, or experiential knowledge. 


   Identify appropriate strategic measures and actions to facilitate the implementation of innovations.


   Support clinical and non-clinical decision-making through our expertise in research, analysis, and information synthesis.


   Support the mission of clinical care, innovation, teaching, and academic research within the Montreal West Island integrated university health and social services centres by providing the entire community with necessary resources, including documents and informational services.

   Oversee research to ensure it is conducted with integrity and in full compliance with all applicable regulations.


   Ensure the protection of research participants.


   Development of rich and diverse internship opportunites by upholding a safe, welcoming, and stimulating learning environment in medical education.


   Development of rich and diverse internship opportunities by  upholding a safe, welcoming, and stimulating learning environment in non-medical education at the university, college, and professional levels.
